Mens’ Life Coaching Method

I have received training and acquired skills from many different modalities and recovery cultures such as The 8 Feelings by Chip Dodd, 12 Step Spiritual Principles, Inner Child Work, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems.

I strongly believe in an individualized approach to recovery work, so I often choose principles from one or several of these modalities only after listening to my client’s needs and considering which ones may be most helpful for his particular personality, needs, trauma, etc.

Free
30-Minute Consultation

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to prospective clients for several important reasons.

First and foremost, it provides a chance for both of us to determine if we’re a good fit for each other. Coaching is a deeply personal experience, and ensuring that my expertise aligns with your specific needs and goals is essential.

This consultation also allows you to assess how comfortable you feel working with me as your coach.

Additionally, it’s a space where I can answer any questions you may have about the process and address any concerns or fears that might be holding you back from starting this journey.

The consultation is a no-pressure way to explore the potential partnership and ensure it’s the right move for you.

Shared 1-on-2 Coaching Session

In a “Shared” 1-on-2 coaching session, two clients are coached together, often with a friend or recovery partner. Ideally, the same person joins each time. This format offers key benefits:

  • Cost Savings – Split the cost or double your sessions for the same price.
  • Objectivity – Watching someone else’s progress helps you gain self-awareness by recognizing shared patterns.
  • Emotional Support – A trusted companion offers reinforcement and additional insights, enhancing the coaching experience.

This approach adds support, objectivity, and affordability to your recovery journey.

Behavioral Addiction

A behavioral addiction (also known as a process addiction) is a type of addiction that involves a compulsion to engage in a rewarding behavior or activity despite negative consequences.

Unlike substance addiction, which involves dependency on a drug or chemical (like alcohol or narcotics), behavioral addiction revolves around behaviors that activate the brain’s reward system in similar ways, leading to dependency and compulsive repetition.

Trauma can result from various events, such as abuse, violence, accidents, natural disasters, or other distressing life experiences.

The goal of trauma recovery work is to help individuals process their trauma, reduce symptoms, regain a sense of safety and control, and improve their overall quality of life.
